Looker Models

You can use your existing Looks to power Hightouch. When your setup is complete, you'll be able to create Hightouch models like this.

How it works

When you create a Hightouch model backed by a Look, Hightouch converts that Look to SQL and runs it against your configured source.

Connecting to your Looker instance

Navigate to the extension configuration and save your Looker credentials.

See below for documentation on each of these fields.

This is the URL that Hightouch will use to connect to your Looker instance. This will often be https://<instance_name>, but check out Looker's docs if you have a funky Looker setup.

Client ID and Client Secret

Your Client ID and Client Secret are your Looker API3 credentials.

Check out Looker's docs on creating API3 credentials.

Selecting a Look

After configuring your Looker credentials, you're ready to create a model using a source that supports Looker. After you've selected your source, click the Looker button on the modeling method selection screen.

From there, you can select which Look you'd like to use.

Supported sources

Currently, only the following Hightouch sources support Looker:

If you encounter any error messages during the set up of your models based on Looks, check the following:
