Most marketing platforms added AI agents in the past year. When you search for the best agentic marketing platforms, you'll find lists that barely overlap. One ranks paid social tools, another ranks email platforms, and another ranks AI search tools. They're answering the same question, even though the solutions are for different parts of marketing.
So before you pick a platform, figure out what kind of product you're looking at. We sort them by two things: what the agents work from (your customer data and brand, or the vendor's own system) and where the agents can act (ad channels, owned channels like email and push, or both).
The best agentic marketing platform for an enterprise is one whose agents work from the company's own customer data and brand knowledge, can launch work in both paid and lifecycle channels, and wait for a person to approve it. Hightouch is built for that case. Hightouch is an Agentic Marketing Platform with its own agents: Hightouch Ad Studio for paid media and Hightouch Lifecycle Marketing Studio for lifecycle marketing, both running on a Composable CDP that keeps customer data in the company's warehouse. Teams that only need one kind of channel may do better with an engagement platform or a CRM-led platform.
Here's the short version:
- Hightouch: best for enterprises that want agents working across paid and lifecycle from their own customer data and brand knowledge
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next: best for companies standardized on Salesforce CRM
- Adobe: best for teams that already run content and customer experience on Adobe
- HubSpot: best for mid-market teams that run marketing and sales on the HubSpot CRM
- Braze: best for lifecycle teams that want agents inside cross-channel messaging
- Iterable: best for lifecycle teams that want agents to build, check, and monitor campaigns
- GrowthLoop: best for teams focused on building audiences and journeys from warehouse data

What counts as an agentic marketing platform?
An agentic marketing platform is software that uses AI agents to plan, run, and improve multi-step marketing work toward a goal you set. You decide the goal, the limits, and where you want to approve. The agents do the hands-on work in between, like building the audience, putting the content together, and launching the campaign.
Some products use the terminology “agentic marketing platform” but might not include full agentic capabilities. Watch for these:
- A chat window over existing features. If the agent can answer questions about your data but can't build or launch anything, it's a search box.
- A copy or image generator. If it can't put the work in front of a customer, someone still does every step after the draft.
- Recommendations with nowhere to go. An agent that suggests an audience but can't send it to a channel hands the work back to you.
- Brand rules you re-upload every project. If the agent forgets your brand between projects, a person ends up checking every asset.
Five types of platforms call themselves agentic
Most products on lists like this one fit one of five types. The type tells you more than a feature list does, because it tells you what the agents can see and where they stop.
Marketing suites (Salesforce, Adobe). The agents work inside the vendor's own apps and customer data platform. Both suites connect to data warehouses without copying all the data over. They fit best when your company already runs on the suite, and the agents are most effective when you've adopted most of it.
CRM-led platforms (HubSpot). The agents work from the CRM your sales and marketing teams already share. They fit mid-market teams that want marketing, sales, and service in one place.
Customer engagement platforms (Braze, Iterable). These tools send your email, push, SMS, and in-app messages, and their agents build and improve campaigns in those channels. Klaviyo fits here too, for ecommerce brands. They suit lifecycle teams that want more output from the tool they already send from.
Warehouse audience and journey tools (GrowthLoop). The agents help you find audiences in your warehouse, design journeys, and send those audiences to the tools that deliver messages and ads. They suit teams whose data already lives in the warehouse and whose main bottleneck is audiences.
Composable agentic platforms (Hightouch). The agents work from your warehouse data and your brand knowledge, and act across both paid and lifecycle. You can buy one piece at a time.
We left two groups off this list on purpose. Content tools like Jasper, Typeface, and Writer help teams write and govern on-brand content, but they don't work from customer data or launch campaigns. Paid-only tools like Smartly and Meta Advantage+ can plan and adjust ad spend, but they don't run email or lifecycle. Both can do their part of the job well, but neither runs a full campaign across paid and lifecycle channels.
How we compared them
We used six criteria. Each vendor section ends with "what to check," which comes straight from this list.
- What the agents work from. Customer data, campaign history, brand guidelines, and approved assets. An agent that knows your customers but not your brand makes work that's accurate and off-brand. One that knows your brand but not your customers makes on-brand work for the wrong person.
- Where the agents can act. Paid channels, owned channels, or both.
- Launch or recommend. Can the agent put the campaign live in your connected systems, or does it stop at a suggestion?
- Where your customer data sits. Does the agent read it where it already lives, or does the vendor need its own copy first?
- Approvals and audit trail. Can you require a person to approve the work, and can you see what the agent did?
- Buying one piece. Can one team buy what it needs without the whole company switching platforms?
1. Hightouch: best for agents that work across paid and lifecycle from your own data and brand
Hightouch is the Agentic Marketing Platform, powered by the industry-leading Composable CDP. You may know us as the company that helped define the Composable CDP. We spent six years building marketing infrastructure on the data warehouse, and Hightouch's own agents now run on that foundation.
Where agents fit. Marketers work in two places. Hightouch Ad Studio covers paid and performance marketing: agents build ad creative from your approved assets and brand rules, ready to launch on the ad platforms you already use. Hightouch Lifecycle Marketing Studio covers lifecycle and CRM, including audiences, journeys, content, and AI Decisioning, which picks the message, channel, and timing for each customer.
What the agents work from. Hightouch agents work from two places. The first is customer data. Hightouch's Composable CDP keeps customer data in your warehouse, zero-copy, and reads it from there instead of storing a second copy. The second is brand knowledge. Hightouch turns it into a brand context layer, a version of your brand guidelines, approved assets, and past work that agents look up while they work. The layer runs in a managed instance on the cloud and data platform you choose, across Databricks, Snowflake, and GCP.
How the agents decide what to do. In Hightouch Ad Studio, agents analyze your past ad performance, competitor ads, and industry trends, and flag things worth acting on, like creative that's starting to fatigue or a competitor ad gaining traction. Marketers can turn those insights straight into new ad concepts. In Hightouch Lifecycle Marketing Studio, AI Decisioning uses reinforcement learning to choose the content, creative, timing, and channel for each customer, and keeps improving as results come in. It also shows marketers the patterns it finds, like which messages work for which customers, so the team has real information to act on in the next campaign. And because the decisions are auditable, you can see why it picked a message, channel, or send time.
Strengths.
- Paid and lifecycle agents share one data and brand foundation, so both teams work from the same facts about the customer and the brand.
- Content Assembly lets you re-use your existing, approved assets rather than generating net-new imagery.
- Hightouch connects to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and other enterprise AI through MCP.
- You can buy either Studio, or the Composable CDP, on its own.
- A person signs off on every AI-generated asset before it runs.
What to check. Getting the most out of Hightouch takes setup up front, like connecting your data and loading your brand guidelines and assets, so plan time for onboarding. Ask which product fits your highest priority use case.
Results. Otrium, an off-price fashion marketplace, used to take about four weeks to get a campaign from brief to live. With Hightouch Ad Studio it takes one week — a 70% reduction in time to market — and conversions rose 15%. The agents took over production and coordination work the teams used to do by hand, so more campaigns made it out the door.
Best for: enterprises that want paid and lifecycle agents working from their own customer data and brand knowledge, starting with one team.
2. Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next: best for companies standardized on Salesforce
Salesforce launched Marketing Cloud Next in June 2025 as its agentic marketing product, built on Agentforce and Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud).
Where agents fit. Agents that shipped with the launch build campaigns from a brief, personalize offers, and adjust paid media. In June 2026, Salesforce announced a Content Agent and a Marketing Goals Agent, which turns a goal, budget, and limits into a running campaign. Salesforce listed both as pilots when it announced them.
What the agents work from. Data 360, Salesforce's customer data platform. Salesforce offers zero-copy connections to Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, and Redshift, so teams can use warehouse data without moving all of it.
Strengths.
- Sales, service, and marketing data sit in one platform, which helps when the CRM is the center of your customer view.
- Salesforce has a wide and growing set of agents.
- Salesforce describes built-in human review points before agents act.
What to check. Ask which agents are generally available and which are in pilot. Agent usage is billed through credits, so ask how costs grow with volume. And ask how much of Data 360 you need before the agents work well.
Best for: organizations that already run on Salesforce and want marketing agents tied closely to their CRM.
3. Adobe: best for teams already running content and experiences on Adobe
Adobe made its Agent Orchestrator and a first set of agents generally available in September 2025. In April 2026 it introduced Adobe CX Enterprise and Brand Intelligence, and in June 2026 it made CX Enterprise Coworker generally available.
Where agents fit. Agents build audiences, create and fix journeys, analyze experiments, and improve site experiences. CX Enterprise Coworker plans and runs campaigns across those steps, and teams approve the plan before it runs. GenStudio covers content production, and Brand Intelligence checks content against your brand.
What the agents work from. Adobe Experience Platform and its customer profiles. Federated Audience Composition lets teams build audiences from warehouse data without Adobe copying it.
Strengths.
- Content production and journey orchestration sit in one suite.
- Brand Intelligence is a governance product built for AI-generated content.
- The agents connect closely to Adobe's creative tools, which many brand teams already use.
What to check. Ask which agents are available now and which are announced for later. Map which Adobe products and licenses each agent needs, since the agents do the most when the rest of the Adobe stack is in place.
Best for: large experience and content organizations already invested in Adobe.
4. HubSpot: best for mid-market teams on the HubSpot CRM
HubSpot introduced three marketing agents at its Fall 2026 Spotlight: Campaign Agent, Content Agent, and Nurture Agent. All three are in public beta.
Where agents fit. Campaign Agent turns a goal into a campaign plan with channels, messages, and assets. Content Agent drafts blog posts, social posts, and landing pages for review. Nurture Agent writes each email in a nurture flow for the person receiving it.
What the agents work from. The HubSpot CRM, including contact data, campaign history, and brand voice settings.
Strengths.
- Marketing, sales, and service share one CRM, so agents see the whole contact record.
- Teams already on HubSpot can start quickly.
- Content Agent uses AI search recommendations, which helps teams writing for answer engines.
What to check. Ask what's available on your plan today. If your source of truth lives in a warehouse rather than in HubSpot, ask how that data gets in and how often it updates.
Best for: mid-market teams that run marketing and sales on HubSpot and want agents inside the CRM they already use.
5. Braze: best for lifecycle teams that want agents inside cross-channel messaging
Braze has made BrazeAI Operator and its agent tools generally available, and it announced more agent features at its Forge conference in September 2026.
Where agents fit. Operator builds campaigns, Canvas journeys, segments, and content from plain-language requests, and shows each action for a person to approve. Braze Agents run as steps inside journeys for jobs like personalization and conversations.
What the agents work from. Braze user profiles. Warehouse data comes in through Cloud Data Ingestion, which copies it into Braze. Braze also offers a zero-copy option, Connected Sources, for building segments.
Strengths.
- Messaging across email, push, in-app, SMS, and WhatsApp.
- You can use Braze's default model or bring your own from OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google.
- Agents run as steps inside the journeys teams already build.
What to check. Ask how much customer data has to be copied into Braze for agents to use it, and which newer features are still in beta. If paid media matters, ask about it directly.
Best for: lifecycle teams centered on cross-channel engagement who want agents in the tool they already send from.
6. Iterable: best for lifecycle teams that want agents to build, check, and monitor campaigns
Iterable made Nova Agent generally available in April 2026 and added Monitoring and Analytics agents in its September 2026 release.
Where agents fit. Nova Agent builds templates, campaigns, and experiments, and audits messages for broken links, spelling, and missing alt text. The Monitoring Agent flags performance problems and suggests fixes. The Analytics Agent explains results across campaigns.
What the agents work from. Iterable customer profiles. Journey Live Data pulls outside data into a journey at the moment it runs, without saving it to the profile.
Strengths.
- Agents cover building, quality checks, and monitoring in one place.
- Iterable covers the main owned channels, including RCS and WhatsApp, and connects to Google Ads.
- Live lookups let journeys use fresh data when they run.
What to check. Ask which agents your account has today. If paid media matters, check how far it goes past Google Ads.
Best for: lifecycle teams that want more campaign output from their engagement platform, with quality checks built in.
7. GrowthLoop: best for building audiences and journeys from warehouse data
GrowthLoop launched its Compound Marketing Engine and Growth Agents in April 2025 and added Composable AI Decisioning in April 2026.
Where agents fit. Agents propose audiences, build journeys, and analyze results, and marketers review and approve before anything launches. The decisioning product assigns customers to offers and channels inside a journey and measures incremental lift.
What the agents work from. Your warehouse, including BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, and Redshift.
Strengths.
- GrowthLoop works directly on warehouse data.
- Its agents cover both audiences and journeys.
- It measures incremental lift, not only clicks.
What to check. GrowthLoop sends audiences to other tools that deliver messages and ads, so ask how much of the content and launch work its agents handle. Its documentation limits real-time audiences to Snowflake, so check that against your warehouse.
Best for: data-mature teams whose main bottleneck is building and testing audiences from the warehouse.
How to choose the right agentic marketing platform
Pick the type first, then the vendor.
Choose a composable agentic platform like Hightouch if you want paid and lifecycle agents working from the same customer data and brand knowledge, you've already invested in a warehouse, and you want to start with one team and expand.
Choose a marketing suite if your company has standardized on Salesforce or Adobe, you care most about connections inside that suite, and you have the people to run a large platform.
Choose a CRM-led platform if you're a mid-market team that runs marketing and sales on one CRM and wants agents there first.
Choose a customer engagement platform if you mainly need more and better email, push, SMS, and in-app campaigns, and you're fine keeping customer data in that platform.
Choose a warehouse audience and journey tool if you mainly need audience building on warehouse data, and you already have strong tools for content and delivery.
Six questions to ask in every demo
Ask every vendor the same questions so you can line up the answers.
- What can the agent see: our customer data, our brand guidelines, our campaign history?
- Can the agent launch the campaign, or only recommend it?
- Where does our customer data sit when the agent reads it?
- Which channels can the agents act in today, paid and owned?
- Which agents are generally available, and which are beta or pilot?
- Where are the approval points, and can we see what the agent did?
The best platform is the one that can finish the work
The lists disagree because "agentic marketing" means something different in each part of marketing. For a lifecycle team, it means agents in the tool that sends email. For a paid team, it means agents that make ads and move budget. For an enterprise, it means both, working from the same customer data and the same brand.
We built Hightouch for that last case. Whichever type you choose, start with two questions: what can the agents see, and where can they act? Those answers will shorten your list faster than any demo.
Frequently asked questions
What are the best agentic marketing platforms in 2026? The best agentic marketing platforms in 2026 include Hightouch, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next, Adobe, HubSpot, Braze, Iterable, and GrowthLoop. They differ most in what their agents work from and where they can act. Hightouch fits enterprises that want agents across paid and lifecycle from their own data and brand knowledge, while Braze and Iterable fit lifecycle teams and HubSpot fits mid-market teams on its CRM.
Can agentic marketing platforms manage paid and lifecycle marketing together? Some can, but most cover one or the other. Hightouch covers both, with Hightouch Ad Studio for paid media and Hightouch Lifecycle Marketing Studio for email, SMS, push, and in-app [UNVERIFIED], sharing the same customer data and brand context layer. Engagement platforms like Braze and Iterable focus on owned channels, and tools like Smartly focus on paid.
What is the best agentic marketing platform for enterprise companies? For enterprises, the best agentic marketing platform is one whose agents work from the company's own customer data and brand knowledge, can launch work in connected channels, and require human approval. Hightouch does this on a Composable CDP that keeps customer data in the company's warehouse. Enterprises fully standardized on Salesforce or Adobe may prefer those suites.
What are the best Salesforce Agentforce alternatives for marketing? Hightouch is an alternative for enterprises that want agents across paid and lifecycle, built on a Composable CDP that keeps customer data in the company's own warehouse. HubSpot fits mid-market teams that want CRM and marketing in one place. Braze and Iterable fit lifecycle teams, and Adobe fits teams invested in Adobe's content tools.
How do I evaluate an agentic marketing platform vendor? Start with two questions: what can the agents see, and where can they act? Then check whether agents can launch or only recommend, where customer data sits, how approvals work, and which agents are generally available versus beta. Hightouch's agents work from customer data kept in the company's warehouse and a brand context layer, and act in both paid and lifecycle channels.
Is a content tool like Jasper an agentic marketing platform? Content tools like Jasper, Typeface, and Writer help teams create and govern on-brand content, and some use agents to do it. They don't usually work from customer data or launch campaigns in ad and lifecycle channels. An agentic marketing platform like Hightouch covers those steps too, and its Content Assembly lets teams re-use existing, approved assets rather than generating net-new imagery.
